1. Our aim
We want every parent, teacher, student and partner to be able to use curioo.com and CURIOO Campus, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2. What we have done
- Text and interface colours meet AA contrast on their backgrounds, including the pink and amber brand colours, which were tested before being used for text.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone; focus is visible; skip-to-content and landmark regions are provided; the mobile menu and all forms are labelled for screen readers.
- Headings follow a logical order and pages have a single main heading.
- Photographs that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such.
- Type is set in relative units and reflows to a single column on small screens; nothing requires horizontal scrolling except data tables, which scroll within their own container.
- Motion is reduced for users who have asked their device for reduced motion.
- Fonts are self-hosted, so pages load without depending on third-party services.
3. What we know is not yet right
- Some photographs in the social feed on the Parents page are decorative and have no description; two video thumbnails need better descriptions.
- Curriculum downloads (teacher guides, slides, trackers) are provided as PDF and spreadsheet files; older files may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We are re-issuing them as projects are updated.
- Live online sessions in the Signature Project are recorded but not yet captioned automatically; we will add captioning before the first cohort.
- The Campus platform is in development; this statement will be updated when it launches.
4. If something does not work for you
Tell us at hello@curioo.com or through the contact page. Say which page or file, what you were trying to do and which browser or assistive technology you use. We reply within two working days and aim to fix genuine barriers within twenty working days. If you need a document in another format, ask and we will provide it.
